Leandres Valley: Where are you going
The Leandres Valley is famous above all for the Poço do Inferno waterfall, but it has many views to enjoy and forests to walk through.
You will leave Manteigas and head towards the forest of Castanheiros do Souto do Concelho. You will cycle through the forest. But you’ll also pass by natural viewpoints where it’s impossible to resist a stop. You will then arrive at Poço do Inferno where the walk begins. A small trail that will take you to discover the meanders of the Leandres stream and a beautiful mixed forest that surrounds it. You’ll return to Manteigas through the Mata dos Carvalhais, a mixed forest such as there are unfortunately few in Portugal.
The ebike route, in the simplest version, can be done entirely by car, but it is not the same thing.

About the tour
The Ebike route runs along paved secondary roads, so it is suitable for anyone who knows how to ride a bike. There is a variant that crosses dirt roads suitable for beginners in mountain biking or with a higher level of experience.
The walk goes along footpaths that are somewhat steep. Anyone used to hiking will have no difficulty.
You should bring comfortable clothes for cycling and trekking, water and snacks.
Minimum height for renting na electric bicycle is 1,50 meters.
