Beech Forest - São Lourenço: Where are you going
The São Lourenço Beech Forest, or Manteigas Beech Forest as it is also known, give the name to this route. This forest is a well known and visited place.
But on this short route you will also visit places that are still far from the main tourist circuits. For example, the former chapel of Sra da Assedasse. This monument is located in Casais de Folgosinho, where the last shepherds of Serra da Estrela still living on old ways. You’ll also pass by the top of the Corredor de Mouros, one of the places with the most amazing views in all Serra da Estrela. Another place that invites you to stop is the Covão da Ponte park, bathed by the Mondego river.

About the Tour
Route quite easy on a physical level. At a technical level, it only presents a small section of about 500m that may have to be done on foot by less experienced cyclists.
You should bring comfortable clothes for cycling, sunscreen, water and snacks.
Minimum height for renting a electric bicycle is 1,50 meters.
